What Magnus Schaefer doesn't like about The Historian Hotel:
Came here for afterwork drinks. The interior decor and atmosphere reminds me of an old fashioned pub. Honestly it wasn't the most comfortable setup. There were a lot of poles and pillars and whatnot in the way so it was a bit difficult to find a good spot to stand and chat as a group.
My colleague highly recommends their pie floater, so maybe next time I visit I'll give their food menu a go. View all feedback. What Emily Pirie likes about The Historian Hotel:
We used the function room upstairs for a lunch celebration after a registry wedding and it was perfect! Staff were friendly and helpful and the upstairs space is an amazing venue for a private function. I would recommend working out your food options beforehand as a couple of the meals were on the dry side. View all feedback.

read moreThe Historian Hotel offers a warm and inviting old-fashioned pub atmosphere, making it a great spot for after-work drinks or a casual lunch with friends. While some previous customers found the setup a bit cramped and the food to be hit or miss, others were impressed by the quality of the dishes and the friendly service. The establishment is popular for its peri peri chicken and steak options, with some patrons praising the amazing flavors and value for money. With a varied wine list and a welcoming staff, The Historian Hotel seems to cater to a diverse range of clientele, making it a popular choice for many in Adelaide. Whether you're looking for a cozy corner table to catch up with friends or a spot to enjoy a delicious meal, The Historian Hotel seems to have something for everyone.
