Chanced upon this cafe while driving around searching for not only a place to eat but also a park. Good value for money and friendly people. A great concept by the uniting church to give struggling youngsters a place to volunteer and gain work experience. Well done and good luck to those who are seeking employment via this avenue. We tried the Experience cafe for the first time today. The hot chocolate was excellent, as was the raisin toast. We will be back. Staff friendly and obliging.
Yummy food, great atmosphere. Fabulous food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere complete with a couple of couches to lounge in while you read the paper and watch the world go by through the window. Food includes savoury options such as amazing scrambled eggs you 'll know what I mean when you try them with smoked salmon, and the incredibly flavoursome 'Windy But Worth It ' !! homemade beans, as well as sweet treats like the '**** the Diet ' pancakes with berry coulis, banana and mascarpone. Omnomnom!
A great little cafe in a great location, this is the perfect place to either caffeinate before, or unwind after a trip to the Oxfam bookshop two doors down. The whole place is staffed by people doing work experience (hence the name) but I've never had a bad cup of coffee or sandwich on any of my (many) visits. On a nice day, sit outside and watch the world go by- your soul will thank you.
I decided to give this restaurant a try after walking past it frequently. I found the Italian toastie to be great value, the customer service was excellent, and I discovered that they offer work experience to unemployed individuals to help them develop the skills needed to secure a job. It was a good meal for a worthwhile cause.
Such a cool little place. Good food and good coffee, the customer service is great as well. I go there all the time
