This restaurant has been here for many years. The decor here is very transitional Malaysia style. Good service. We ordered a fried keow teo (not sure if its spell like this) and seafood curry laksa. Keow teo was good, acceptable price. I am not really into fried noodles but It seems like one of most popular dish there. The other dish-- seafood laksa was really good! Flavorful Curry noodle soup with big amount of praw... View all feedback.
What Yoshiko Anderson doesn't like about Penang Malaysian & Chinese Restaurant:
Awful. And over-priced. I really object to paying $6 for 'vegetable spring rolls' that consist of a spring roll wrapper filled only with vermicelli noodles. Each of our entrees came out separately. Mine came out after my main. I felt so sorry for the poor waitress who was running around to try to manage everything. She tried her best which is really the only positive thing I have to say. Just terrible. Avoid. View all feedback.
I am unfortunately adding another negative assessment, which can only be defined as extremely disappointing experience. next to the little bugs that flew around the table was the experience of a shocking, tasteless teller after the other. the gutter was unnoticed and the tender pfeffer steak had neither sown nor had any sauce at all. the meat was far away from tender and at almost $25 for a very small portion was tasteless, tough and dry. most weep on the menu were not available. there was no music, so talks were overheared by the others. it was a wreck of an experience. I took my friend to her birthday and I will never return. for a restaurant with 20...read more

We will be back again. Highly recommend
We had Spring rolls and satay chicken for entree and that was excellent! It is worth to try their new dishes Hainan Chicken Rice and the Lemon Lime Juice! The service is great. I think it is a good place in the city and we will keep going there for dinner!
Awful. and too expensive. I am really against the payment of $6 for early herbal roles', consisting of an early roll developer that is only filled with vermicelli nudeln. each of our escaped came out separately. I came out after my head. I'm so sorry for the poor waitress who walked around to manage everything. she tried her best what really is the only positive thing I have to say. just terrible. avoid them.
Had the beef rendang nasi lemak. the sauce was nice, but the bark was so hard it was terrible. the waiting staff was nice, but the place is a bit dingy and dirty. would never order this court again, would come another time to try it, maybe that was just an off court.
