NanYang is just so popular be prepared to wait in the queue for 10 15 minutes to place your order and find a table. The food is amazing great price and a good variety of dishes to please any sized group. Great for kids too. Well worth a visit View all feedback.
What RarelydoIreview doesn't like about NanYang Cafe:
I lined up for 10 mins, waited for 20 mins for a tasteless Char Kway Teow. The only thing I could taste was chilli and even then I asked for it to be mild. Staff barely acknowledge anyone. Won't be going back, that's for sure. View all feedback.
I threw a bite to lunch. we came there at 1315, and the place is still full, we have to wait 15 minutes until we sit. we order their Hainan chicken rice, for me with additional brattaube. the order came within 10 minutes, the part was quite large. the rice is a little overboiled, but the huh was in order. Unfortunately, the rösttaube is a bit chewing. Nevertheless, for those who do not want to eat frills with budget in the eye, this place is the place they wanted to be a regular parasol.
I am singaporeic, so trust me when I say that this char kuey teow is quite authentic! aromen are balanced and they get a good amount of sinful verbalard disperse fairly even throughout. it is hearty than what they get in singapur (it is mostly sweet, but this is almost not sweet perhaps more similar to Malaysian similarity) but there are good wok-hei (if they are passionate about Asian food, they should know what this is wok-hei in the grunde refers to the chared aroma that is fried out of contact with the fire when a dish is in place). the soybean milk with grassy is also quite authentic (the price is not lol).
My God. what a hidden shade, if it wasn't because it was my last day in adelaide, I could have it all day. this place is quite hidden in the renaissance arcade. I'm so glad I found it. will definitely be in my food list if I ever return to adelaide. this place serves an authentic traditional Malaysian hainanese chckrn rice and roast. I had this authentic and traditional taste malaysian hainanese chicken rice and hasn't been roasting for ever. When I was able to bite her, I felt like I was being transported back to my childhood. thank you for keeping the authenticity of the taste.
Hainan chicken is a must-try here. Only $10.50 for a massive portion. You can tell it'll be good when the dish comes with the proper chicken flavoured rice. Also unlike other hainan chicken dishes I've tried, this chicken is bathed in a light soy which intermingles with the chicken oil and tastes amazing when you drizzle it over the rice.
Good Malaysian “street food”. Inexpensive and tasty. Very generous serving sizes. Definitely not a fancy restaurant but a great place for a quick lunch. Recommended.
