Couple dinner. We both had seafood pasta as a main. Trio of dips as an entree. The dips were delightful. Seafood pasta was lovely. I had mild chilli added to my own serving. I thought it was more moderate than mild, and so the chilli overtook the flavour a bit. A little heavy on the olive oil - as the meal started to cool whilst eating, the oil started to pool in the bowl. Overall a nice meal.Of particular note, ther... View all feedback.
What Raymond Andrey doesn't like about Louca's Seafood Grill:
I had high expectations of this restaurant, however the seafood was pretty average actually - nothing prompting me to want to return. The wine selection is good and the staff are competent. View all feedback.
Absolutely loved our dinner here!! We booked for 2 on a busy Friday night! The service was great and the ambiance and decor are lovely! We shared a salt and pepper calamari for entree, I had a barramundi steak on a Mediterranean chickpea salad, my partner had the seafood linguini. We couldn't fault the food and thought it was delicious. We will definitely be back!!
Had to try the new place which had taken the place of the iconic Adelaide Alphutte... Greek basis with seafood... warm welcome - excellent service and competent staff... good seafood menu with variety. I ordered calamari with Panko crumb which was served with normal crumb ... given that we were entertaining guests I chose not to complain and just made mention... but not happy Loucas about your slackness on this point.... good wine list and reasonable prices... was it anything special... nope. Was it good quality food and decent service with nice surrounds - yep. Would I go back - yes probably... in a while....
Made a booking for 6pm last Saturday and it was quiet with a few diners. Previous thought was a shabby looking restaurant like of a beach house style but was very surprised to see a modern interior/exterior exhibiting the traits of a fine dining restaurant. Once again I read the reviews so I had a high expectation of the food I was going to order; Chargrilled Australian Seafood Platter ($55 pp). When it arrived on the table, I noticed that it was of a good portion for two people and the smell was amazing! I must say, I was a little disappointed though because the garfish had a pungent taste and the chips weren't as hot or crunchy. But overall, the taste of the seafood was divine and the octopus skewer was delicious; so flavoursome and succulent!
Went to Loucas for the first time last Saturday night after reading some good reviews. Were quickly seated by the friendly and attentive staff and ordered the seafood pasta and a salt and pepper calamari/prawn. Starting with the pasta it was a good generous sized dish with importantly plenty of seafood mixed in with the pasta which was a pleasant surprise! Overall an excellent dish which I really enjoyed! Next the Mrs got the the salt and pepper squid/prawns which was also a generous sized dish. Unfortunately this dish did not reach the heights of the pasta. Whilst plenty on the plate after a few portions of the squid and prawns the batter soon became a bit sickly and the thick cut chips also a little plain! The only real negative (but not a big or was the tartare sauce which was not nice)! By no means a bad meal but in comparison to the pasta was average. Regardless, what we saw in both our meal and those of others the ingredients used in general looked and tasted of good quality and I would go back
Great atmosphere and friendly service, Louca's continued our level of expectations for Adelaide food. I had the 'Jewels of the sea' and chose a combination of scallops, calamari and prawns. The seafood was cooked beautifully with the opportunity to choose the cooking style, an extra treat! It's no surprise this restaurant fills up quickly so expect a teasing delay for food as the smell of the sea fills the air!
