Went there today and really enjoyed the whole experience.
Very French feel to the place with French staff, music and fitout. Very nicely done.
Crepes were delicious.
They even had a candle for a birthday surprise cannelle.
Nice coffee too and well all reasonably priced.
$4 for a double shot flat white.
Nice staff that went out of their way to make it a great meal and experience!

I have not been here yet, but plan to visit this October. The rating, before the fact, is mostly based on reading other reviews. The photos are making my mouth water.
We liked the $15 lunch deal, the Saint Amour, the Reinette, the Margaux and the Brigitte. They serve real French cider in a pichet/jug and you can choose brut/dry or doux/sweet. The place gets me straight back to France and the selection of classic french pastries ranges from croissant to cannelés de Bordeaux. Recommended.
Elegant, oh so French and delicious! You will feel you are sitting in a little cafe in France whilst dining at Le Carpe Diem, the smells, the decor and the sounds of staff speaking French. I opted for the savoury option this time but will be trying their amazingly delicious looking sweet crepes next visit...
Wonderful atmosphere and decor paired with delicious reliable food. Opt for the savoury crêpes alongside a delicate tart. A good pastry chef has been utilised well in this small evocative kitchen. A good escape from the standard hipster esque thrum of the city. Bring a well plumped wallet.
