We started our weekly bar gathering here, but we arrived too late for the food, just after 3 o'clock. We settled for a glass of wine served by Francisco. The menu looks fantastic, so we plan to come back another time. The courtyard is colorful and enjoyable. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kua Mexican Bar and Bistro:
We were told a few days before we went that there would be music on the roof on Friday evening. We went expecting a fun, lively crowd and good music. There were a few people there but, no music and no service. Margaritas cost nearly $20.00ea! Smokers made us leave. Pretty disappointed all together. View all feedback.

I went to this restaurant with some friends for dinner. The service and decor were very confusing. After being seated, we were informed that our reservation was actually for their sister restaurant next door, which had a more casual street Mexican style. However, they allowed us to stay in the restaurant where we were seated. The menu was a bit confusing, with some Mexican concepts and ingredients that had been modernized. The staff didn't know much about the menu and weren't able to answer our questions. The ceviche and corn dishes were delicious. For our main course, we had pork belly and salmon, which were both tasty but lacked a strong Mexican influence. I'm not sure if we will return in the future.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was very friendly. I will definitely be returning for the Mezcals and Tecates at the rooftop bar.
We wandered past on the way to our hotel Grand Chancellor and were invited in by a lovely Mexican lady.. what a good decision! The food was amazing and so not the normally expected tortillas etc.. must try the corn sponge cakes with chive cream and Haley I.. exquisite! Service was friendly and knowledgeable.. a great night.
A colleague and I went to Kua on a Tuesday night during a work trip to Adelaide. The service was phenomenal, our host took the time to explain the traditional Mexican dishes and customs to us. We were served Mexican beer with Chile Tajin - definitely something I will be trying again! Then a range of incredible Mexican delicacies. We had a fantastic evening and will absolutely be heading back next time we're in Adelaide. Thanks so much for the great night Kua Mexican bar and bistro!
