From the moment my friends and I stepped into the establishment, we knew it would not let us down. Beaut refurbished interior with comfortable seating and music toned down for ones enjoyment. Waitresses were perfect as was the food. The Ploughman's Plate accompanied with Brewed Lamb Ribs and chips proved to be the perfect choice, not to mention the refreshing bottle of Riesling. In a nutshell, perfect! View all feedback.

It's a bad habit of mine when going to pubs to just order the standard chicken schnitzel or salt and pepper squid. I'm glad I didn't do that here though. I'm sure their schnitzel is great, but I had the chicken and porcini pie and was really impressed - this is food clearly served with pride. My dining partner's dish was also pleasantly surprising - not what was anticipated when ordering but still very enjoyable. Taste and presentation of both meals were spot on and I love the low key design of this place. A surprising gem worth making a detour from the central markets for.
Went here last night with the fam for dinner. Cool vibe, funky decor - especially liked the bar made of old doors. Easily wheelchair accessible with space to manoeuvre around and tables were easy to get to. No disabled toilet so it's lucky I didn't need to go. The food was well-flavoured and portions for my fellow diners were generous (I ordered an entrée). The schnittys looked incredible!
Located at a quieter end of town, Hotel Wright Street is a long-established, but recently refurbished pub, bar / restaurant. Inside, the new fit-out is modern but not too fancy. However, the place is quite big - there's a front bar area, large beer garden, dining room as well as seating out the front; a communal bar in the middle caters to all patrons. We have visited here before for drinks, but most recently dined in for dinner after a Fringe show. The bar area was busy, though, there was only three or four tables seated in the dining room. We ate quite late, about 9pm, and weren't overly hungry so opted for the two share plates: the Wright drinkers feast and the antipasto platter. The menu does also has small plates and larger traditional pub food. For $48, the Wright drinker feast platter was great value between four people. The beef cheek croquettes and the lamb kofta were both excellent. The antipasto was all very fresh, though we were disappointed there was no cheese on it. The drinks list was also solid - lots of South Australian wines and craft beers. Finally, the service was also very fast and friendly. In all, would return to Hotel Wright Street for the share platters as they're great value and better than regular pub food. Would recommend others to also check it out.
I never thought I'd give a pub 5 stars for food but this was one of the best pub experiences I've had. The Jerusalem eggplant was so tasty and the combination of ingredients worked perfectly. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and happily swapped the haloumi on my eggplant for a side of chips (so that it was vegan) without hesitating or charging extra. Beautiful sunny seating in the beer garden and a great wine list. The meals are on the pricier side for pubs but they're definitely worth it and they even have a 2-for-1 Entertainment Voucher.
Really enjoyed this pub. When we came a few months ago it was still amid renovations so it was a bit dim lit with a modern rustic look & I was quite surprised how delicious the food was. I had the Lamb tenderloin with pumpkin, beetroot & feta & it was simply delicious! Paired with good wine, really nice service and excellent value for money I would like to return to see the outcome of the renos ????????
