Gondola, Gondola, on the corner of Hindley St and Peel St. It is about 6.0pm on a Friday night we hadn't booked and we we lucky. The resturant has a buzz in the atmosphere, the seating is bench style, singular (both sides), or bench tables. People were waiting for tables to become free. What User doesn't like about Gondola Gondola:
Came here with a group of colleagues after walking by the place one day. I read mixed reviews online, and unfortunately, our meals fell into the less than favorable category. The star of the show was the salt and pepper eggplant, which was deliciously cooked and seasoned to perfection. Less so was the salt and pepper tofu. We opted for the $55 set menu and found it to be excellent! Although we felt the wine prices were a bit high, with a bottle of Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris costing $60, the faultless and delicious food continued to impress us. The beef ribs were tender and flavorful, the pork belly was exceptional, the salt and pepper eggplant was incredible, and the desserts were fantastic. Overall, it was a brilliant dining experience and we highly recommend it!
Our friends from Liverpool, UK are big fans of Vietnamese cuisine, so naturally we brought them to Gondola Gondola. We opted for the Banquet menu and were delighted with the non-stop flow of delicious dishes, each with its own unique flavor. Our friends declared it the best Vietnamese food they had ever tasted, and praised the 5-star staff and atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing. The food, the service and the atmosphere never disappoints. Love the salt and pepper eggplant and banana blossom salad the stuff that dreams are made of. Love your work guys.
Food was exceptional, full of flavour. The waitress selected the dishes on our behalf and delivered awesome customer service throughout the evening. Funky little venue, fun and friendly vibe. Can't recommend more!!
