wanted somewhere intimate and this fits the bill thanks to the small size of the restaurant and ambientes beautiful. the scallops were amazing, like the rib eye and crab meat spaghetti. prefer and presentation first class. the servier sizes are generous, which is missing in some other fine restaurants, so they feel more than satisfied with the starter and dessert. in any case try to celebrate a special occasion. What Africa Palomino doesn't like about Clarion Soho:
Intimidating experience. I dined in this restaurant tonight with 3 female friends. We enjoyed the food and the service, especially from the female attendant. Hit and miss which is such a big shame! This was once lovely spot for a quiet dinner. I would not repeat the experience and return to Decant.
Wanted somewhere intimate and this fit the bill nicely thanks to the small size of the restaurant and ambience. The scallops were amazing as was the rib eye and crab meat spaghetti. Flavours and presentation first class. The serving sizes are generous, which is somewhat lacking in some other fine dining restaurants, so much so that sharing the starter and dessert still left you feeling more than satisfied. Definitely worth trying if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion.

The Decant Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Clarion Hotel Soho on Flinders Street. Situated right in the heart of the city, the establishment specialises in modern Australian cuisine with offerings for all meals of the day. Their sophisticated menu is complemented by a selection of fine Australian and French wine.
Had a meal before seeing a fringe show The service was very friendly and accomodating with what we could have in food and drinks The food was great especially the crocodile and prawn parcel And the drink list large enough with speciality in South australian choices Little diamond in the city Would recommend it
