Do you want to taste a bit of Hungary without travelling all the way to magnificent Budapest? Just visit Bodri's at Adelaide Central Market and indulge in delicious handmade and freshly baked artisan pastries. These include both walnut and poppy-seed beigli, vanilla kifli, and my favourite the sweet ricotta pocket. There are savoury pastries as well; and if you like pizza you must try the langallo, a Hungarian versio... View all feedback.
What nickydeb doesn't like about Bodri's Hungarian Artisan Bakery & Cafe:
I had previously visited this restaurant for coffee, and found it to be overly sweet. However, my partner enjoys their coffee, so I decided to try a pastry instead. The customer service was good, but unfortunately, the pastry was very dry. After taking one bite, I had to throw it away. Despite it being late in the day, I still paid full price for an unappetizing pastry. Perhaps if the prices were reduced, I wouldn't... View all feedback.
Delicious foods. Dobos Torta is a Favorite. Coffee is nice. Raspberry syrup drink tastes mmmyum. There is some renovations happening on the Bakery Cafe...., but thankfully online or phone orders are still available.
I recently tried the best chocolate I've ever had at this cafe. The coffees and Hungarian pastries were also delicious. The service was fantastic. I highly recommend visiting this cafe at the Adelaide Central Market.

I have no intention of purchasing anything from this restaurant in the future.
In the last couple of weeks I have visited Bodri 's Hungarian Artisan Bakery Cafe twice. They always had good coffee and pastries there. In addition, the service was always very nice. While, the coffee and service has not changed (it’ still good) , I was really disappointed when I discovered that my sweet cheese pocket túrós táska (quark cheese, lemon zest and raisins) was not fresh. The second time I frequented Bodri’s, I ordered a coffee and poppy seed crescent mákos kifli. I was unlucky again. The poppy seed filling was dry as was the pastry. I don 't know what the reason could be that their baked goods have dropped in quality. The only thing I can think of is that there are not as many customers as always? If this is the case, perhaps they should bake smaller quantities so that they aren’t selling yesterday’s baked goods . It takes a long time to gain a good reputation and it can be lost quickly. There’s a saying third time lucky so I 'll take that chance and try again. However If it turns out that I will be unlucky again I will not go back there as I don 't want to keep being disappointed.
Real Hungarian pastries prepared and served by a Hungarian couple. The coffee was excellent as well. As good as any Patisserie in Europe.
