This place is amazing! Really friendly and helpful people that know the city and the country well. Prices are quite amazing and the event nights are full of nice vibrant people. Go for karaoke or beer day and have a blast. Really enjoy this place.

I've been living in Addis for 3 months now and this is one of my favorite spots to grab a beer and spend time with friends. The owners have been leaders in the Couchsurfing community for years and created such a wonderful environment to connect with travelers and newcomers to Addis. I love how sustainable the hostel is and would recommend Mad Vervet to anyone!

Great food here. We had our children (7 and 9), and they were very welcoming, among them finding room for us to watch football with the locals. Really a great experience.
