Tonight I got haru maki (spring rolls from Yozakura thru online order. When the man working the front (owner? brought my food he tried to reimburse me because they had to cut one of the rolls in half to check if cooked. I refused! That was very kind. I can tell he cares very much about the food and customer. The rolls were still hot when I got home-and delicious!! Looking forward to trying more and see how the inside... View all feedback.
What Brad Hagen doesn't like about Yozakura Japanese Kitchen And Boutique Sushi:
Took a very long time to get our food. The food was very underwhelming and one of my sushi rolls was gross and did not appear fresh. One person preparing food kept taking his gloves off and putting them in his pocket then re using the same gloves. The person preparing sushi kept his gloves on and touched everything even the trash and other food. The ramen was room temperature when I got it. To top it off the hostess... View all feedback.
I was excited to try this place and since it has dine in i decided to pop in and the atmosphere was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and tentative!!! I sat up at the sushi bar ordered miso soup with some Japenese ice coffee to start with and for my sushi plate I ordered shrimp tempura and spicy tuna roll. Everything was perfect. The sushi was very fresh and plated well, I wish I took a picture! Shout out to the sushi bar chef that hooked up this special oil with i believe, minced scallions? It was bomb and he shared a sample of his homemade kimchi that was better than any kimchi ive ever had, honestly and hope to see it as a special sometime! Someone who appeared to be the owner came and asked me how everything was, which was really nice. When I was finished another waitstaff handed me an unexpected hot Jasmin tea! It was very bold in flavor and delicious! All in all it was an excellent experience and I not only recomend checking this place out, but i recommend making it your go to sushi place!
We just had the most magical experienceat Yozakura. We went in for a family meal to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday. Japanese cuisine is his favorite, and with all the positive reviews, had high hopes for a delicious meal. I am happy to say all of the food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and artfully presented. My son had the most special 13th Birthday. Thank you Yozakura, we can’t wait to come in again!I must add that both of my boys said the cake was the most delicious cake ever also! Thank you again ???
Went there for the first time tonight for takeout. Enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting. Food was delicious. My wife who typically sushi, loved the roll that she got. Hopefully the town stops messing around and gives them the go-ahead for in person dine-in. Will definitely be back soon!
I came to dinner with my 8 year old daughter. It was a wonderful experience. The miso soup and salad were the best I’ve ever had to start. The food was fresh, sushi was delicious and the service was perfect. You get the family business feel and extra care and attention. It was a wonderful evening and a memory I’ll hold forever. I will be back. A large table had gotten the chef special (not on the regular menu) and I will definitely be doing the same next time when my date isn’t a sushi loving 8 year old.
Last Saturday my daughter and I put in 2 take out orders. We were told it would be about 35 minutes. We actually arrive there probably closer to 40 minutes so we figured everything would be ready. We went in and we paid for our meals and they said it wasn’t quite ready yet. We had to wait another 20 minutes. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They even brought us some green tea. And invited us to sit down. My daughter needed to go to the bathroom so they showed her how to get there. When she did get to the bathroom, she noticed there were multiple power tools and pieces of wood all over A table at the entrance of the kitchen. We were pretty excited to finally get our food. I don’t know where to begin on how bad the food was. We got the shrimp, tempura sushi. The shrimp was so overcooked in the tempura it looked like there was no shrimp in there at all. we ordered the teriyaki chicken meals we ordered two of them. Each of them were 20 each and it came with about 8oz of soup and a salad. The soup was just a plain broth. And the salad was maybe five pieces of lettuce with two cucumber slices! And the salad dressing tasted like it was straight soy sauce. It was one piece of chicken breast, and maybe one cup of rice under it. And the flavor of ginger was so overpowering. It was really inedible. Not worth 20 We also ordered the spring rolls and their version of a crab Rangoon. Both of these items seemed like they were frozen items bought at a grocery store. Definitely not handmade. The sushi was also not fresh. The rice looked like it was starting to turn brown, and the cucumber was turning brown as well. It clearly was not fresh. It is so very hard to write a bad review because like I said the people there were very nice and accommodating. But that food was so unacceptable. I have never had Japanese food before and I know that that was not a good representation of what Japanese cuisine should be. Needless to say I will not be going back there. And unfortunately, I have let quite a few people know how poor their food was.
