The restaurant is transformed from a house that is cozy and intimate. The staff are wonderful. It's a bit expensive for the food they served. Food presentation was nice. Duck's chest tasted like that. But the scallops were great. View all feedback.

Amazing food, very friendly service! Large selection also during COVID times. Our server Gail was so friendly and made us welcome. I will definitely return to this picturesque French restaurant.
Nice to see that this place is still open. The best place for authentic French cuisine. Eating here is always a pleasure. Will definitely return
I've been going to Le Lyonnais since 1991. Information: I went to school with Chef Gerard Labrosse's son, so I ate such delicacies first. For my first meal I had the Steak au Poivre, and for Dessert, a crazy sweetheart called "Délice Antoinette". It is a pair of floating fans, in a brandy snifter filled with Crème Anglaise, immersed in rum with a pound of cake, with whipped cream and raspberries. Pleasure to say that it is simply the most delicious thing that I would ever take, and that is *after* a juicy, perfectly boiled steak au Poivres with delectable bearnaise sauce. In the decades since, I have friends, my wife for the best Thanksgiving ever (oh my God, the duck), parents, my children everyone who can really appreciate authentic French cuisine. No one is disappointed. The restaurant is a converted house, with several rooms, a fantastic wine list, beautiful and quiet, refined without anticipation. Chef Gerard is from Lyon (here the name) and "la carte" is deeper than a Chinese menu. Trout, Ente, Steak, coq au vin, the menu is endless. The wine and beverage menu is very low and very good value. They pay twice as much in a Michelin restaurant that was not half the inspired love work for Chef Gerard and his wife Joan. Make yourself a favor and pamper yourself with a party, go on authentic French cuisine and enjoy an excellent repast that you don't find anywhere else in NYC, not in a Boulud ice cream shop, not even in France. Just make sure you come hungry and ready to taste dishes, you will never find anywhere else.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal and time at Le Lyonnais. The atmosphere is like sitting in someone's home and removes all the hustle and bustle from eating out these days. We thought the escargot was the best we had eaten and our entrees were cooked perfectly. Our server was knowledgeable regarding the menu and quick to answer any questions. One highlight was meeting the chef himself. What a pleasure!
