Bagels Plus - Acton
Bagels Plus
Description
Tucked near Route 2 and the Concord Rotary, this old‑school bagel shop is praised for perfectly textured bagels, generous lox spread, and oversized muffins made fresh daily. Early hours, efficient staff, and indoor seating make it a reliable breakfast stop, though service impressions vary. Notably cash‑only (ATM and Bitcoin terminal available) and some items carry extra charges; still, for many locals and commuters it remains a must-try for classic bagels.

Feedback
This place is the only option for bagels in town, which is quite apparent. The service is lacking, and the flavored cheeses contain large, poorly chopped pieces of whatever is mixed in. The owner gives off some unsettling vibes. They don't accept credit cards, but they do have an ATM and a Bitcoin terminal. It seems to me that the only reason a business would operate this way is to conceal cash income and reduce their tax liability—essentially engaging in tax fraud. In 2022, cash shouldn't be the norm anymore. All this hassle for bagels that are just mediocre. I'd suggest looking elsewhere, but unfortunately, there are no other choices.
A huge shoutout to the team at Bagels Plus! I visited on a Saturday morning and there were about 15-20 people in line, yet the staff managed to remember orders for our group of five without missing a beat. This warm, nostalgic vibe reminded me of classic, cash-only places that feel like home. After receiving a glowing recommendation from one of my coworkers, I was eager to try it, and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, the ingredients fresh, and the prices reasonable. The staff was both capable and courteous, making for a wonderful start to my Saturday. Thank you all; I'll definitely be back next week!
Not sure I enjoyed my first experience here. I was told this was a good place to visit. Wasn't very busy but the workers acted like they were. Don't think I will come back.
Great bagels but a turn off that they wouldn?t just factor in credit card fees into their prices. In todays day and age in a digital world, it?s a bad look in a customers eye. I would gladly pay the 5% or whatever it is.
