You go for the food and the nostalgic decor!! The service staff is always friendly, though tired on a busy Friday evening. Their catfish is worth the drive! What Vicki Radford dislikes about Pap's Place:
Something seems to have changed at this restaurant. The quality of the fish has declined, with cheaper cuts being overcooked, and prices have now increased to $13. The vegetables are swimming in grease, which is disappointing. It’s just not what it used to be, and it’s evident in the lack of crowds; it no longer has the same appeal as before. We’ve all decided that we won’t be making the 30-plus mile drive to dine th... View all feedback.

I have been coming here for awhile and have always enjoyed it. I took my mom here for lunch. The veggies were delicious but this time the fish lacked seasoning and was overcooked. But it was probably just a fluke. Never a bad experience here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
Travel 1hr to visit this restaurant, Scan the website which gave me the operating hours, only to get there and discover they were close.. Not sure if there still operating or not.. unable to give a true assessment.

This restaurant is one of the best buffets in Mississippi. The food and the staff are exceptional, making you feel like part of the family. It's a place you'll want to return to.
This is the best fried catfish I've had in the state of Mississippi, and the southern hospitality here is truly exceptional. The staff is attentive, helpful, and incredibly friendly.
Horrible the fish was too hard everyone at our table complained....just awful. I drove 1&1/2 hours. My friend spent over $100
I enjoy it they are so friendly fish is great and the vegetables it's just a good place to go the prices had to go up because of the living now

Good Ole home style country cooking!! Absolutely loved it!! Everything was amazing, don't leave without trying the famous peach cobbler Kid-friendliness: Very family oriented environment Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel yourself right on in and enjoy
The food at No. ... restaurant has significantly declined in quality compared to a few years ago. The lunch buffet offered bland casseroles, vegetables, and pork chops, all lacking in seasoning except for grease. The service was pleasant when requested, but we had to inquire about where to sit and how to get drinks. The restaurant was not crowded, with only five other people besides us. The cleanliness of the restaurant was subpar as well. Overall, our experience was very disappointing.
While we were eating, two roaches came out of the paper towel dispenser at this very disgusting restaurant. The food was terrible and we will never be returning.
The food at this restaurant is always excellent, although it can sometimes be a bit too heavily seasoned. They have recently added a ramp for wheelchair accessibility.

Absolute best fried catfish in the state of Mississippi and by far the most courteous southern service. The staff is thoughtful, helpful, and beyond friendly.
This place offers the best fish I've ever had! The buffet is fantastic, and the desserts are delicious. I love dining here regularly.
