I absolutely adore this place. They have good vegetarian appetizers and entrees. Theirs a couple vegan and vegetarian entrees that are the bomb. They make awesome cocktails and the staff are friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Moonshadow:
I had asked the philly cheese steak if they could make it vegan. they did it, but it came to something about roasted white bread. I mean, it's like it's not so difficult to make naan they serve on vegan. if they do it in the house, what they probably don't. View all feedback.
Several nice options. Well marked. Hummus veggie wrap on naan very good.
The options they have labeled as a vegan are indeed not vegan. You are the options that can be made vegan by removing what makes it the Entre. A creamy Pesto Pasta removes the cream and pesto, just add oil to create a sad pasta. Another example, with their cauliflower wing Wrap they remove the cauliflower wings, because their bread boxes are not vegan, so warm non-fried cauliflower cauliflower at its place. In addition, the blue cheese is removed without replacement. In addition, the hot sauce is replaced by a spicy hot sauce... the end product is a sad (non seasoned) cauliflower in vinegar forward hot sauce, thrown into a pack, with very little avocado. Bon appétit. Yeah, there's more. Your impossibility Apple Burger was close to cardboard in taste. The apples were tasteless. The bread (not a bun) was dry and crispy, so every time I take a liquid pig to finish every bite (hard to swallow)... I could go on, but the point is clear. Your menu is misleading what we are prepared on our server, who said they pass it on, and their “Vegan options”, when converted into a real vegan option are sad and clearly not prepared by a food and taste love vegan. Finally, when I was informed that her cauliflower bread was not vegan... They said: “they realized” it was not vegan, what I felt as the latest knowledge... in which I have a lack of awareness of what IS and IS are not really Vegan... that challenged me the reliability of their understanding of unfamiliar ingredients such as the potential of white sugar in their potential Heinz ketchups processed with Bone Ash and is not vegan friendly for that. I'm digressing. Double check before eating everything and generally eat happy. — I love what the owner tries to get to the Deep Creak Locale. It has missed the sign but on Delicious Vegan options. The boss who makes these options should be just as “Wow’d” satisfaction from them as any other dish they make. I would be surprised if the cook found their vegan options to be Scrumptious. Change recipes and make completely veganized options from the start. Updated by previous rating on 2022 06 14
We had a good vegan meal! Nice atmosphere—kind of coffee house/bar vibe. The place has a stage for but was no live music the night we were there. We were there on a cold Wednesday evening and most were at the bar eating/drinking. We started out with the Buffalo Cauliflower wings without the cheese. It’s listed as vegetarian (not vegan) because of the cheese according to our server. They were outstanding. I have a feeling it may have been made with butter however. I’ll check the next time we’re there. My wife had the taco salad with impossible burger in it. She had it with oil and vinegar dressing and liked it a lot. I had the Philly sandwich with impossible beef—it was great. It’s served on a thick pita-type bread. They also offer an impossible burger. Overall we were very happy that Deep Creek has an independent restaurant with pretty good vegan options.
Friendly staff and surprisingly many vegan options for this area! Pretty cool spot with live music and a cute mural on the side :
I can not say enough about Moonshadow! Not only is the food DELICIOUS and prepared well, the staff is awesome! Everyone in there is so nice. We started going there for the live bluegrass but now it’s our favorite place to eat and go anytime! Highly recommend you check them out!
