We went there because it was close to our hotel. The service from our waiters Francisco and Noe was impecable. We went with our baby girl and they went the extra mile to accommodate our needs . Must try the grilled octupus. They serve it on a plate made out of salt .... fantastic Dinning! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Mansion - Acapulco:
Good steaks, good wines, nice atmosphere but still stuck in the last century. Don't get me wrong, you can have a good meal there but for what it costs why would you. Check on the baked potato when you come in, they frequently run out! (Not kidding!) View all feedback.
We had only one hamburger here, but it was really good and the other food looked fantastic! We go back and try the lamb talloins in lemon. It looked great and smells great. Good cocktail. The prices were kind of medium-priced. Nice atmosphere and was busy on Sunday night. We overlooked this place many times, as it never seemed popular from outside and we mistakenly thought no one went in there. We were wrong. So glad we're trying, we'll be back!
We went to the restaurant as a last minute decision and purely because it was practically next to our hotel. The restaurant was clean and very well presented. We were met at the door and escorted upstairs to a nice table in the window. We...seemed to have made the right choice as the ambience was very good too with a trio musicians entertaining the diners. Then our waiter appeared to take our drinks order, my wife tried to order a margarita and I tried to order a local beer. In both instances the waiter seemed he'll bent on trying to change our orders to something he wanted us to have. I understand how up selling works but this was bordering on pushy and rude. We stuck to our guns and after what seemed like hours he stopped his pushy ways and got our drinks. This pattern continued throughout the meal, making the whole experience somewhat of a trial. The final straw happened when we attempted to pay for the bill and we added the customary 10% to the payment for service charge. The waiter challenged us and stated that service was not included on the bill with implication that he expected a bigger tip. For the record I will happily pay above 10% for good to exceptional service, this was neither good or exceptional service, in fact his antics spoilt what was actually a pretty meal. I honestly thought that this type of waiter was a thing of the past, clearly I was wrong.
For Christmas Eve the ambiance was good and do was the service, but the meats are not what they used to be. A filet mignon comes like a sabana meaning it has been flattened. None of the meats were served as requested more rare than...medium. Prices for Mexico are high but this has been always the case except the food was very good. The baked potato which was one of their best side dishes was underdone and cream and bacon poor quality. The worst part was the price they charged for a cup of camomile tea: $24.00 (MXN). A small cup with a Twinnings tea bag which is pretty low quality (although perceived as high) when compared to Laggs or La Pastora. If you think you pay $29.00 (MXN) for 350 ml of bottled water, the price of this cup of tea does not make sense. La Arrachera was not great and would even venture to say that close in quality to Sanborns. It is a real shame, and really wish the administration can take it back to where it used to be. Would we go again probably yes as the atmosphere is good and these days there aren 't many places in La Costera that provide that ambience.
Service was very good atmosphere was comfortable. We ordered a porterhouse and a ribeye. Both came perfectly cooked, but the plates were so hot they drove over boiling the steaks. The wine list was good and we had a nice recommended... red mix. A nice stop for a steak!
Service and food were excellent. If you want a good steak and good wine, it is the place to eat. The Environnent is super and you can ask the waiter to display the different cut and type of beef steak. A place to eat.
