The Arepas we did, the service was great, and the prices were cheap. Definitely the best food we had in capurgana

Amparo the owner and cook prepares the most delicious meals during your stay in Capurgana. Tell her some time in advance and she'll prepare a meal for you. Your homemade cuisine is ingenious and healthy. She made a beautiful beet salad with Eggs, fried Yuca and her spicy special sauce. Yum yum! A highlight of our trip.

The food is simple, but really good. Ingredients especially the meat is high quality. The lady who owns the place is talking and smart!

Amparo's food is absolutely delicioso! The standard menu is corn arepas with a mountain of guacamole, vegetables and/or different kinds of meat. Accompanied with freshly made juices. But if you pre order before 10 o'clock in the morning she also makes fantastic lunches, often vegetarian,...with rice, vegetables, lots of avocado (If it's season) and sallad. My personal favourite is fish with coconut rice sweetened with panela. She also makes amazing arroz con leche and her home made hot chocolate with pure cacao paste is to die for! Amparo is also a very fun and warm person, so don't miss out on a chat with her. Nos vemos en el futuro, Amparo, lots of love!

Capurgarepas lovely owner Amparo makes the most delicious organic/vegetarian food in Capurganá. I had lunch here almost every day of my stay in Capurganá. The big and filling corn arepas (hand made from scratch by Amparo herself) are tasteful and a perfect lunch, you can...get them with, for ex., pulled beef or chicken or vegetables and cheese. If you pass by before mid day and tell her you want a bigger lunch, she 'll prepare something fantastic for you. Amparo gets most of her food from local farmers from the mountains around and from her own cultures. ... and don 't forget to ask for her ají picante .
