Cho Gao Marina Walk Intercontinental Abu Dhabi

Having lived in Belgium, we enjoy good mussels, frites Belgian beer specialties; all available at Belgian Cafe...and in a lovely waterfront view setting. Unfortunately, friendly service is not a strong point here, which was disappointing, and the prices for their moules' are high, even for UAE. We did enjoy our meals, just not as special as in Brussels.

I enjoyed our meal here last year, but its like a creche now so we left before we were even seated. There were kids running everywhere. We explained to the maitre D. who was very understanding, and ate in the Fishmarket.

Acceptable food quality in overall, however Thai soups quality is below expectations. Waiters are absolutely lost and helpless. All orders for soft drinks&beverages were delivered with min delay, some ordered drinks just were not delivered.

We live in Abu Dhabi and have a sense of the restaurant scene. Cho Gao was very disappointing. The space is nicely appointed and lively. The service was very poor: it took a very long time and a discussion with hosts to get us seated, it took forever to get table service, the bar was very busy but had only one bartender, which obviously meant that our drinks took minutes or more every time we ordered. The food was room temperature or slightly above. Although the management ultimately gave us vouchers, we won't go back.
