I bought a sandwich from them at the New Haven Fall Festival and I was overcharged by over $17 dollars. I was refunded $17, but as they reminded me, tax is also involved (they didn't understand the issue at first, I thought I was upset over tax, and they kept repeating that the tax was why it cost more than I thought).They did not refund me the tax on that $17, and I had just gone with the automatic tip presented to... Haven 't been to Ziffle 's for at least 20 years. Last time there they were a cash only establishment. The restaurant was very clean and nicer than I remember. The only shortcoming was how close the tables were. We were in the corner which made it very difficult for even my 11 year old to get out to go to the restroom. Halfway through dinner another couple was seated right beside us. They had to shift things around to sit down. The server was very nice and was on top of things at all of her tables. The food was also very good. We tried their wings, ribs, pizza, and chicken tenders and wasn 't disappointed by any of it. The coleslaw was one of my favorites. The everything pizza was piled high with fresh toppings and real mushrooms. Except for the seating arrangement everything was great!
This Texan loves their BBQ and sausage roll is my go to. Love the staff. My late night place to hang and watch the game.
The first time I experienced Ziffles was at a graduation party. I loved it! I was excited to see it was going to be in Columbia City at First Fridays ! I ordered the Boss Hog (wrap) and shared it with a friend. The portions are generous. My friends daughter git the chicken and waffle fries. She said the meal was great! The staff is friendly too. Try it you will be glad you did!
Why didn't anyone tell me about the ribs? They fall straight off the bone. The sauce was fire! My daughter loved the chicken and waffles. The service was fast as well. I will be back
We first experienced Ziffles at a graduation party this summer. Our son had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. He really liked it and actually is now requesting it for his birthday. My husband and I had the boss hog. It was excellent! Then I went to First Fridays in Columbia City and was pleasantly surprised to see them there! I again ordered the boss hog and split it with a friend. Portions are generous with this wrap. My friends daughter ordered chicken and waffles and said it was great! The staff was polite too! Definitely a winner!
