The food had the comforting taste of a home-cooked meal, as if it had just come out of my grandmother's kitchen—delicious and authentic. When we asked about the Mole, which they prepare from scratch, the staff graciously brought us a sample along with a small piece of chicken. We both opted for chicken tamales with both sauces – Mole and green. The tamales were incredibly soft and light, possibly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. We also ordered guacamole with chips, which were made from whole tortillas that could be easily broken apart. The guacamole came on a bed of lettuce and was very flavorful. The pico de gallo was fresh with just the right kick of spice, perfectly complementing the chips and tamales. My friend enjoyed a glass of wine, but it wasn't my preferred brand, so I stuck to water. I would have loved a margarita or a Bloody Mary, but unfortunately, they don’t have the necessary liquor license. I completely forgot to take any photos since we were so engaged in conversation, but if you find yourself passing through Colusa, you should definitely stop by this place. It was truly excellent. The owner, who also served us, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My friend ordered a glass of wine, but it wasn’t a brand I liked, so I opted for water instead. I really wished they had margaritas or Bloody Marys, but unfortunately, they don’t have a liquor license for those. I got so wrapped up in our conversation that I completely forgot to take any photos, but if you're ever in Colusa, you absolutely have to check out this place. It’s that good! The owner and server were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant!

They welcomed us despite the late hour and served us with great enthusiasm. The mole was fantastic! It's definitely worth a visit in Colusa.
