Overall good food great cocktails. Ambience is nice especially in booths with curtain between. Staff very attentive pleasant. The butternut squash soup barramundi specials were both too earthy needed something a little sweet or citrus added to balance the flavors: others may like that way though. What Amy Duehmig dislikes about Hideout 125:
Took friends from work to.lunch today.ordered and probably 35 minutes later...still no lunch. Had to have them.box the food. Waitress was great. ..not her fault. But owner hardly got out a sorry about that. Im.sorry. I don't usually give bad reviews..but this was bad service from owner. I use to go here a lot but I was embarrassed I talked my work friends into going a little upscale for this experience. There are too... View all feedback.
We decided to celebrate our 43rd anniversary at Hideout 125, and it exceeded our expectations. We were seated in a cozy booth in a quiet part of the restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of the larger dining area. I opted for one of their handcrafted cocktails, while my husband enjoyed a beer served in a chilled glass. We both started with a generous house salad that was anything but ordinary. For our main courses, I chose the filet medallions accompanied by a delicious potato side and a demi-glace, while my husband went for the special prime rib dinner, complete with their unique horseradish sauce and garlic whipped potatoes. The menu offers a delightful variety of seafood and meats, all prepared creatively and beautifully presented. Our server, Ricky, was gracious and engaging, ensuring that each dish arrived promptly and that we were attended to throughout the meal. Overall, it was truly an exceptional dining experience.
We went early in the evening (4:30 pm) on a Sunday, no wait. You definitely want reservations if you go later in the evenings, especially Friday and Saturday. We requested a quiet booth, and it was perfect. Low lighting, not loud. I got the Prohibition Punch Cocktail, very fruit, and loved it. My ribeye steak was excellent. I chose the blue cheese crust as pictured, it was delicious. Not pictured, you also get a salad or soup with the ribeye, and bread/butter for the table. Creme Brulee for dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a perfect place to celebrate a special day, you won't be disappointed.

Fish soup a little salty for our taste (but we don't use much salt in general to keep blood pressure down . So just wish the food was little higher quality given the higher prices. Will try lunch next time as that menu has different items (catfish, sandwiches, etc. is less expensive. We were celebrating an anniversary so they brought us a free little dessert that was a little chocolate flower with berry mousse in it delicious!
Party of 4. The ribeye was ordered medium rare, was closer to medium. Still delicious. Also ordered filet medallions medium well. They were definitely well done. Tasty, but overcooked. Also ordered sea bass. Very good. Great martini, great raspberry cocktail. Delicious house salads. Great dessert featuring brownie, beignet, and raspberry mousse. Will definitely return, but ordered steaks one level rarer than normal.
The atmosphere here is always wonderful. The owner Sherman has shaped a culture of kindness, care, with quality food and service. I highly recommend anyone in the Fort Wayne area to make a point to dine at Hideout 125! I have never had a bad meal, and in fact, the menu remains diverse, and the food is elevated. Thank you, Mr. Bell and Hideout 125 for making Mother's Day a fantastic day.
