Reviews - Roll Shack
Reviews summary
Roll Shack serves handcrafted rolled ice cream with creatively named, bold-flavored combos and generous portions. Guests can customize mixes while watching the theatrical, made-to-order process in a clean, artful shop. Friendly, attentive staff and a welcoming vibe make it ideal for families, dates, or casual outings. Prices reflect high-quality ingredients and the slower craft process, and limited seating can mean brief waits during peak times — but most agree the flavor and experience are worth it.
Was esther Jäger at Roll Shack a mag?
Roll Shack offers a wide variety of great options, and the portions are generous for a reasonable price. I ordered a kid’s size and still couldn’t finish it. The cashier was extremely friendly and patient with my husband’s numerous questions. View all feedback.
What Michelle Martinez dislikes about Roll Shack:
Today I tried The Elvis: peanut butter banana ice cream drizzled with honey and strawberry jam, rolled into bite-sized bundles, topped with whipped cream and bacon crumbles. It was absolutely delicious! View all feedback.

Yummy!!! My son decided we needed ice cream after the movie. This was my first visit to the Roll Shack but it won't be my last! I had a small Tito. Ice cream, espresso, chocolate, caramel, and biscotti. Such a cute place. I really enjoyed watching the process!
Staff was so nice and friendly even though we got there almost at closing time. Desserts are absolutely delicious! I had a tough time choosing what to get but do not regret what I got. Super clean place too. I was really impressed with the teamwork going on behind the counter too. Everything seem to run very smoothly, which made the environment very enjoyable.
Great place to chill...and super ice cream treats! Whenever I am in Abilene. I WILL return !
The ice cream is delicious and the concept is unique. However, there tends to be a long wait, and it can be quite pricey.

Such a cool spot! The flavors are really unique and the amount you get is absolutely generous! I got The Walle and it was scrumptious and so creamy, basically frozen banana pudding. It was clean and the staff seemed very kind and welcoming. Iappreciate the outside seating! The only thing I would recommend is the owner investing in little buzzers while you wait (ifthey're busy) so you can wait outside or in your car! There isn't a lot of seating when the place is packed which isunderstandable. All in all Such a cool little place! I will be back.
Finally had a chance to try it out and have to say, wow. Lots of reviews complaining about cost and time if you wanted fast and cheap go to The Mc (if their ice cream machine works. Yes, rolled ice cream takes longer than something from a machine itshould be obvious as you stand there watching them make it by hand. You have complete control, tell them exactly whatingredients and, within reason, how much. Because they are using good ingredients, it costs more and it is absolutely worthit.
I recently visited Roll Shack for the first time and had an amazing experience watching them roll my ice cream right in front of me, allowing me to choose any flavor I wanted. I opted for the Oreo chocolate flavor, which I found to be incredibly rich and chocolatey. My daughter chose the Opal, and she loved it—she said it tasted just like her favorite breakfast cereal, Fruity Pebbles. I also enjoyed the vibrant wall of rainbow animal art, showcasing the owner's pets, and the menu featured the names of those animals, adding a personal touch to the place. Roll Shack is a fantastic spot to enjoy ice cream, whether you choose to sit inside or outside. Prices start at around $7.50, and there are various options to choose from.

This place is fantastic! The customer service is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The ice cream is to die for! I tried the Annie fully dressed, and it was delicious; the Nutella really enhances the flavor. My wife ordered the Levi with added cookie dough, and it was absolutely amazing. This spot is perfect for a hot day or just to relax and enjoy an ice cream date. We've definitely found our new go-to for date night treats. If you haven't visited yet, I highly recommend it!
