Reviews - La Pop's
Reviews summary
La Pop offers flavorful Mexican dishes with standout items like asada burritos, fajitas, and hearty nachos, catering well to gluten-free diners. The vibrant, clean interior and friendly staff create an inviting atmosphere, although occasional lapses in hygiene and inconsistent food preparation have been noted. Pricing tends to be on the higher side, especially near the nearby military base, with portions sometimes smaller compared to competitors. Parking is often challenging due to popularity and a rough lot. Despite some management and operational issues—such as irregular hours and poor phone service—many patrons remain loyal for the quality and uniqueness of the food.
Was JUST ME at La Pop's a mag?
It's really good only downfall is they are super expensive by Dyess. They up their prices because of the base near by. I bought 4 burritos and it was $17 when I go to Treadaway Popular, I can get 6 burritos for $14.I try not to go to this one unless I'm just buying for myself only.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
What Nikita Weber dislikes about La Pop's:
Outstanding food. Poor management. They have weird days when they're closed. Never open in time and they're cashiers deliberately ignore the phone, so good luck placing orders to be picked up View all feedback.

As for parking, it’s so popular that the lot is usually full! Though the parking lot itself is quite rough, don’t let that deter you from experiencing these fantastic burritos!

More bang for your buck... Even though the place looks small on the outside, very big inside.Food: 5/5

Burritos are good but small for the price compared to others in town. I'd say Hernandez bakery on butternut and even El Mercado in Clyde is way better nowadays. Wouldn't bother going la popular anymore. The name is the same but the quality and affordability has gone way down.
La Pop's has gone downhill. My kids usually order 2 carne guisada, 4 bacon and egg. While my 9 year old is super picky on his eggs la Pop's was the one place I could get him to eat and now they don't make it the same, we did watch someone not wash there hands after not going to the restroom but service was great and the people are nice!
Good food and great service. I did show up at 2 which meant I only had a limited menu to choose from. The asada street tacos were good though.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food; it arrived piping hot and was delicious! I tried the Fajitas and Burritos, both of which were excellent. The prices are reasonable as well. The place is clean and extremely inviting, thanks to the vibrant murals. I look forward to coming back soon!
