Brisket and potato salad was great! The ribs were decent, but was really disappointed in the green beans and sausage. The green beans came out completely plain like they were just dumped out of a can by themselves with nothing added. Even lower end restaurants add something to season up the beans a bit. The sausage was the real disappointment, very tough and tasteless. Gave a few of my friends at the table a couple pieces without saying anything, and they just kind of stared and said that sausage is pretty bad . According to reviews, they have amazing steak, so I should probably try that sometime, but for everything else I 'll continue going to a different place.

They give you corn bre... read more A very large portion of food for what you pay here. I tried the bbq combo plate with brisket, sausage, ribs, potato salad, and cole slaw. They give you corn bread and slices of fresh bread before the meal, too. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, as well. They were pretty busy, but I still didn't have to wait long for anything. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

You order the steak by inches instead of ounces here. Really recommend order the 2 ' ' steak and shareit with another person. My friends order 3/4 ' and 1 1/3 ' steak but mine got the perfect medium. The fried onion and okra is alsogood. Really recommend this place if you come by abilene.

The dining room must have been busy as there were a ton of cars in the parking lot. The BBQ combo plate was great.I'd stop and eat here again.
