Great chipper! White, black and red puddings, chips all great. Service also very good. So so tempting to pop in every time passing in Newmachar. High recommend, up there with the best in Aberdeenshire for sure although maybe a bit dearer than some. View all feedback.
What Aisleena doesn't like about The Newmachar:
Bad Everything was far too salty. The tubs of curry sauce are smaller than you get from other chippers. Good There was a good menu and drinks selection. Didn’t have to wait long. View all feedback.
Amazing food, we had some of the fine dining when out for a family meal. Service was one of the best will definitely be back
I went here for a family members birthday in august the food was average at best and expensive for the portion sizes, the macaroni portion was tiny and tasted like the sauce came from a box. Went here a second time in September and had the ‘roast’. I can only describe the way it was served as a big pile of mess with cauliflower cheese sauce/ gravy everywhere. It tasted okay but all the flavours just became one. The staffing is also sparse, it takes a while to get served drinks. It’s a shame as it used to be really good but will now pick a different option.

Awesome food and great service. Fully wheelchair accessible and play areas for the kids. Well worth the trip from the city. Chicken burger and fish/chips worth a mention.
