a couple of times here. the staff is polite and helpful. room is comfortable and water is hot. decour is dated, but do not distract from good service and the breakfast is really good. the rules of the covid apply, but they do everywhere in Scotland. a nice stay for a good price and good service. fully recommended View all feedback.
What Scot45 doesn't like about Strathburn:
Went there for our meal tonight the quality of the food you cannot fault, however the portion sizes are minimal. I’m not a big eater by any means but had I not asked for more chips I would have gone home hungry. Haven’t been here for many years and by all accounts it will be a long time before I re visit. Rude staff and room was not clear and smelly. Overpriced and tasteless food. Avoid
What a well run and friendly value hotel. Stayed for one night on business. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. Sam, the young chef, makes great food and I'd love the recipe for the Golden Pea Soup..!! For the price, I don't think you can do better. Well done.
I took my partner here for his birthday meal but was disappointed.
The food was excellent, served by attentive and friendly staff in a lovely atmosphere at a great value. Will definitely return.
This charming restaurant has friendly staff and the food is outstanding. While the menu is somewhat limited, the high quality more than compensates for it. They also have a great variety of wines to complement the meal.
