The Sally is great for a drink, the locals always speak and if you want something to eat the food is made on the premises and is usually of a good pub food quality, service can be a bit slow as the food is cooked to order.

We just called in for a drink while staying on campsite for 1 night and were immediately given a very warm welcome from the locals and staff alike.Good 35ml nips as well!! We decided to eat after kitchen had shut but they very kindly worked on and we had a curry which was excellent.Lots of lovely food on menu.We will be back soon.

I have stayed in Bervie for over 5 years and have never visited the Salutation Hotel before. I won a meal voucher through the school raffle so visited with my husband and son. The dining room is small but cosy with only 5 tables. There is a very extensive menu along with a specials board. My husband and I ordered the steak pie and my son had the hamburger and chips from the childrens menu. The only downside was the length of time we had to wait on the food to arrive (around 50 minutes) but the food was well worth the wait. Well presented and very tasty. My husband and son followed off with strawberry sundaes. Overall excellent food but only visit if you aren't in a hurry. I would advise booking a table at the weekend. We will certainly be back again.

Excellent food! One has to be prepared for a 20-30 minute wait for the food since it's freshly made to order! It is well worth the wait though! There are several good choices for all three courses and whatever one chooses, you won't be disappointed!! Would definitely recommend this establishment.
