If the fry cook is the lady with the tattoos it's going to be good. I mean really good. Every time I've had a meal from her it's been expertly prepared and timed. Don't know about Frank, but she's amazing. Additionally, portions are generous the fish is fresh and the chips are on point. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Frank's Fryer:
Eating is not too bad. the huge frustration is the terrible opening times. close to a chip shop!? that's crazy! Many people will work until they work and stand at work. these are the people who want to make up for the disorganized evening by a fast eating, but they are closed at the market for a chip shop for people to meal times to worry about and the convenient removal of food is often only necessary if preparation... Really pleasantly surprised at how good these fish and chips were, my husband had the gluten free fish supper and I had the regular. Both excellent. Will definitely be back for more!
Really disappointed. We always looked forward to our chipper the 1st night away in the caravan,and have done for many years. However this time will be our last. Dismally, small portions with a hefty price. The smallest portion of chips I have ever seen with each supper, and the jumbo haddock was half the size it used to be. I always spoke highly of Frank's Fryer but wouldn't suggest it now unfortunately .
Great wee chippy. Plenty to choose from and open at really concient times for tea. Fish is a stunning size
I am very surprised at all the 5 star reviews on here we found our suppers very disappointing... greasy, batter was raw inside. Chips did not taste freshly cooked. Quite pricey too. Portions were good but food not good enough to finish. Sorry! But we won't be back.
Our regular fish and chip shop. We have been coming here for many years, after trying many others in the area, including a supposedly award winning one in Aberdeen. Always good size portions, crisp batter and great chips. The staff are always friendly.
