Description

The Famous Fittie Bar, now under new management, carries a rich heritage dating back to 1821. Originally a favourite spot for local residents, shipyard workers, and seafarers, it has stood the test of time, evolving into the vibrant community pub it is today. Honouring its maritime roots, the bar proudly supports those in the industry and Aberdeen Lifeboat. Today, the Fittie Bar is a welcoming local hub, family and dog friendly, serving food daily with carefully crafted menus. We’ve expanded our selection to include an exciting range of new beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The bar has also gained recognition in local culture, featuring as Bodach Stone in the TV show Granite Harbour and appearing in the short film No Ladies Allowed, highlighting the evolution of social attitudes over time. Visitors from the US, Europe, and cruise ship passengers often stop by after exploring the nearby beachfront and charming Fittie Village. Whether you’re a local or passing through, the Famous Fittie Bar offers a warm welcome and a true taste of Aberdeen’s maritime spirit.

A lovely pub, Scottish rugby memorabilia on the walls as well as anything to do with fishing. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff, food portions were huge but yummy and the drink prices were super cheap. Definitely go back before I leave.
