Eggroll King - Aberdeen
Eggroll King
Description
Nestled in Aberdeen, this restaurant sparks contrasting sentiments among diners. On one hand, some patrons rave about its consistency and value, noting generous portions that highlight familiar American Chinese cuisine, especially the combination plates. Others, however, report significant disappointments, criticizing lukewarm, flavorless dishes and subpar ingredients. While long-time fans appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the owner's dedication over the years, newcomers recount experiences so bad they vow never to return. This establishment presents a complex portrait: a beloved staple for some, yet a regrettable choice for others seeking authentic taste and quality.

The Chinese food at this restaurant was nearly perfect. It was served quickly, tasted above average, and was also priced affordably. You couldn't ask for more.
I consider myself an expert in American Chinese cuisine, and I can confidently say that this restaurant is one of the best. They have been in business for around 20 years, consistently using the same delicious recipes and maintaining a welcoming owner-operated atmosphere.
Do you ever eat at a restaurant and wonder how that place is still in business?Ordered two chicken choices and was given about 2-3 actual pieces of chicken, the rest was just very hard deep fried breading with no meat inside. The fried rice has no flavor whatsoever and not even soy sauce can save it.The crab Rangoon have no filling whatsoever. The outer part is dry and tastes like flour for some reason.
I checked out the online menu and noticed it was outdated. It mentioned items that were unavailable, so they really need to keep it up to date. After placing my takeout order, I found that my chicken fried rice was missing, and the cream cheese rangoons had very little filling—if any at all. The sweet and sour chicken was also disappointing; the pieces of chicken were tiny, about the size of a dime or even smaller. To top it off, the rice that came with it was undercooked. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience, though the egg rolls were the only thing that tasted good.
