We asked him if he had a menu and he’s response was “well what do you want?” How are we suppose to know what we want if we don’t know what’s available? Especially because only one of us could go downstairs and order due to COVID.We then proceeded to ask him if had certain things and he told us “see it’s not that hard.” If you don’t have a menu just say so and don’t turn it around on us and make it seem like we are being difficult for asking for basic service.

Still wor... read more Called in for a pre dinner drink. The service is good, the beers cold. I've been coming here for some time and this place finally has a rooftop space. Still worth a visit. Previous review November 2019 I haven’t been here for a long time now and this place has had a face lift inside and it looks really good. Thankfully the service hasn’t changed, it’s still exceptionally friendly. I tried a Two Suns beer which was alright actually. It is a Japanese inspired beer made in Australia. And then I had a Mountain Goat beer which was really good. My partner had a Japanese gin (it’s a Japanese inspired bar) and it was another great afternoon. This is THE place for people watching hahaha. Enjoy. Original review June 2016 I have walked past this place too many times and I've always wanted to stop in here. It's Friday night, and I wanted to grab a drink n dinner. Once again I was walking past heading elsewhere when I saw a sign saying $5 cricketers arms pints! Mnnn that got me! Hahaha How cool is this place, in a very Japanese way. The lady who served me was soo sweet and friendly that I had a pint, texted my friend and we had dinner here. This place is lots of fun, very kitsch and I like the bench at the front to people watch. But in saying that, they also have a really cool beer garden out the back. This is fun, and we had burgers here tonight, I had the chicka chicka burger and my friend had the spicy chicken burger w chips. We smashed both, yummmmm and no time for a photo tonight as I was too hungry hahai This is definitely my new favourite local place. And they have $1 bubbles on Sunday afternoon, see you here hahaha Why isn't this place packed every night? FUN!! In a very Japanese way! Love the robots here and the retro music haha This is the place that makes me feel happy.

Dear potential customers, I'm looking through different venue options at the moment, and I've never in my life been more glad to read through negative reviews b... read more Dear potential customers, I'm looking through different venue options at the moment, and I've never in my life been more glad to read through negative reviews before making a commitment. Every single one I've read so far mentions service not being what was expected, surprise charges, and particularly, pushy management. There have been many cases of customers raising concerns about personal data collection, which I'm sure any sane person can agree, is a perfectly reasonable concern to have. However, the most consistent pattern I've noticed was is the responses to these aforementioned negative reviews. Regarding personal data concerns, I've seen at least a half dozen cases of this staff member referring to customers using their full names, sarcastically, and in a clearly desperate attempt to mock their reasonable frustration and use intimidation tactics. I've seen nothing that reasonably justifies the collection of mobile numbers and email addresses, and I would be loathe to find myself threatened by anyone for providing an honest review. Many of the responses read, in my opinion after dedicating the last hour to reading them, as only appropriate for a diary entry. The closest thing I can think of to compare it to is immature primary school bullying. I truly hope by now that this person (if it was only one) has since been removed, as I never wish to deal with a business that is satisfied with treating their customers in such a blatantly disgusting and inappropriate manner. The only reason I am taking the time to write this today, is that unless the business agrees that the behaviour displayed online is in fact an acceptable representation of the business, these replies would have been removed a long time ago. I urge you to read through negative reviews before you make a wrong decision.
