**Dining in Delight: A Korean Culinary Revival** A recent resurgence in a local Korean restaurant has impressed diners after a brief shift to an all-you-can-eat hot pot menu. Guests returned eagerly to enjoy classic dishes such as Korean fried chicken, bulgogi, and tteok-bokki from their original offerings. Reviewers praised the variety, quality, and generous portion sizes, complemented by warm, attentive service amid staffing challenges. Standout dishes included samgyetang and unique desserts like tiramisu mochi. Families found the atmosphere friendly, with special touches from the staff enhancing the experience. I was particularly impressed by the PowerPoints available for charging your phone while enjoying your meal. The cold noodles in soup were a solid 5/5—very refreshing, with plenty of side dishes like radish. They even provide scissors for cutting the noodles, which was a nice touch.
The vegetable dumplings also earned a 5/5; they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As a delightful bonus, they served... View all feedback.
What Kangmin Moon dislikes about Orientable:
The worst korean restaurant I have been in years... too many things to cover and don't have time to spell out. I myself am a korean and this kind of service and quality is not acceptable. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
Luckily, we got several other side dishes to share; without those, I wouldn't have been able to handle the chicken at all. Everything was tasty, and I enjoyed it, but I won't be ordering that super spicy chicken again! Overall, this place is definitely worthy of a takeaway order. --- Previous review from September 2017: My partner and I dined there last night. The restaurant was quiet, but that didn’t bother us at all. The service was excellent, haha! They offered us hot water instead of cold, which was perfect for a chilly evening. We ordered nearly everything from the menu using a tablet—the mixed skewers, pork belly skewers, unagi (eel) sushi, tuna sushi, chicken karage (I hope I got that right), and a tuna cone that looked like an ice cream cone, which was amazing! Wow, I could have eaten those all night, haha! The only thing we didn’t try was the sashimi, but that will be for our next visit. This place is definitely worth checking out. Just a heads up, they currently don’t have a liquor license or BYO options, but they do accept cards with a small surcharge. Enjoy!
Excellent value and delicious food! This charming and cheerful Korean restaurant, located on Victoria Street amid a plethora of Asian eateries, truly stands out. The flavors are outstanding, and everything we tried was incredibly tasty. We enjoyed mackerel and beef patties, along with a wide array of side dishes—some of the best I've ever had in Melbourne. This little gem shines brightly amidst the hustle and bustle of Victoria Street.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were fantastic and exceptionally friendly. We brought our two kids, aged 6 and 3, and the Korean Sashimi chef overheard our son express his love for the King Fish Sashimi. He kindly slipped us an extra little side of it! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be returning regularly.
