I recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. While it used to be completely vegan, they have now incorporated milk into their menu for drinks. I would recommend Happy Kuh for those looking for a complete vegan experience. I ordered a soya flat white and the Umami pilze, both of which were delicious. What User doesn't like about Kaede:
We were in the area buying a piece of furniture and quickly needed a bite to eat. Found this place with an online search and went in for the first time. To say the food was delicious was an understantement. We had the green curry, the burger and the taco. Each dish was impressive in it's own right. So tasty and bursting with flavour. I had (half a serve each of) quinoa pancakes and french toast, and a hot chocolate. The pancakes were tiny for the price, but were extremely tasty, and despite my fears, I felt quite satisfied at the end of the meal.
The Admiral has already got quite a crowd following. When I got there on a Saturday lunch time there was a queue waiting for a table and about a 20 minute wait. Service is friendly. The menu is interesting with items such as zucchini fritters, quinoa pancakes. Coffee is really, really good. The food is presented beautifully and tastes fabulous. It's a bit noisy, and people are packed in. But it's all part of the experience. Currently it is cash only, but I believe the card machine is on it's way.
It appears that this restaurant was previously very accommodating to vegans, but it seems to have undergone a change in ownership since April 2022. Currently, there is only one vegan option available on the Japanese-inspired menu. Despite the limited choices, the one vegan dish was incredibly tasty.
