The baked goods at this bakery are the best I've had in a long time. It's a must-visit spot. I will definitely be returning. I also tried a BLT, which was delicious. We brought some hand fruit pies on a hike in Borestone and they stayed intact. They were super tasty as well. View all feedback.
What Julie O doesn't like about Abbot Village Bakery:
Made my first visit today while on vacation. Bought several pastries (cream horn, raspberry turnover, whoopie pies) and donuts and they all tasted greasy. The store itself was very cute and they have souvenirs for sale. View all feedback.
Good donuts and baked goods, tasty chicken pies, friendly helpful staff. A local mainstay for years. We recommend it!!
Great baked goods and pot pies. Always a good group. Easy to get to by car or ATV. Lunch or breakfast, picnic tables to eat in shade.
I dont go to Maine very often but when I do, I ALWAYS stop at Abbott Bakery. It's been a staple since I was little kid and visiting my great grandfather in Monson. I don't just go because of the nostalgia of the place. They truly have some of the best baking goods in that area of Maine. They have a gravel parking lot but plenty of room to park (even on a crowded day). They were properly implementing COVID guidelines and would only allow 1 or 2 customers inside the bakery at a time. They had a tent on their outside deck to cover people from the hot sun who were waiting to order ice cream at the window. This last time I visited (August 7th), I got macaroons and these were decently sized. In my experience much larger than store bought options. They were soft, properly cooked through and not bland at all (an issue you commonly run into with oversized baking goods). I also got 2 of their regular whoopie pies and 2 of their peanut butter whoopie pies. Those were delicious too and shared them with my family when I got home to Connecticut. I highly recommend Abbott Bakery to anyone driving through the area looking for some quality pastries or cookies. They also have some pretty awesome flurries and milkshakes that arent too thick.

I travel many miles to visit this bakery every time I am in the area like 50 miles each way. I travel both nationally and internationally this is one of my favorite bakeries. The pies, donuts, bear claws, cinnamon rolls all are amazing. If you are in the area it is definitely worth the time to stop in. Ask to talk to the baker he is a lot of fun to talk with.
