have been there with some kumpels from the office for lunch. if the weather allowed, we sat outside and enjoyed the environment. inside is also very nice. eating is great and with a twist. prices quite high. especially if the lunch card is higher than. the same dish à la carte (e.g. halloumi salat chf 18 for lunch, chf 17 for dinner). nice service. my first experience here for brunch was not so beautiful, we did not book the table, so we had to sit outside (wintertime in the Swiss!). no problem for me, I loved it. but we waited 1.5 hours for our food. 2 times, better. we booked the table, so we didn't wait so long. the food was in the average, not so special for me, but I think it is especially in the city. they open on Sundays. It is a very small restaurant, so the kitchen room is also small. The thai-curry and chicken salads are GF, but let the waitress know you are celiac.
Expecting this to be a café and bar, the exquisite food was a wonderful surprise. I made several return trips after such a great experience to continue to explore the menu. Food and drinks are delicious and well presented, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. The service is stupendous, even though I speak no German, they were welcoming and assisted with the menu. Can't recommend this place enough.
Thank you Lockentopf for my new obsession with grilled cheese- for real, the dishes are amazing and so so so tasty. A must-go if you are in Aarau!
Great food, delicious aperitif plates, friendly service, fast service. All in all a perfect evening!!!
Service overwhelmed, waited 1 hour for an aperitif plate, atmosphere uncomfortable. Don't go there again. No longer recommended.
