Was Esther Wuckert at Male'ma a mag?
this place is very proud of itself and too right. the menu is beautifully simple and clearly uses excellent ingredients to prepare simple but explosive dishes. a nice geste is the ritual of the owner, his magnificent dessert directly in front of her eyes to cook on a portable herd. the finished product must be cost to be estimated. three courses with wine cost around 35 € per person. a bargain for what we got. highly... What Jesús Robledo dislikes about Male'ma:
I've eaten there many times, as I lived near. all fish dishes are beautiful and fresh. sometimes they get a free homemade suppe and brot that are very tasty. sometimes some dishes are too strongly salted. a daily menu with specialties. friendly service and very clean. View all feedback.

A large selection of menus. do something for everyone. quality of food is good. the restaurant is full and large, but a good atmosphere.
Try the calf livers with sauted whirls, sage and apples. it was perfectly prepared. it looks a bit like a hole in the wall. the waiter and greeter were very hospitable, and although they had not much English and we had less German, they ensured that we were very satisfied with our eating. and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely come back.

Eating was not as expected and all very salty. I would not recommend this hotel.

Total impression: Not recommended. The first visual impression of the restaurants is good, which made us want more weeks ago was far missing. There were not enough cards for all guests (13 people then had 3 cards) and these included dozens of ballpoint pen corrections. The recommendations of the day were printed on a DINA4 sheet. According to the donkey ears, stains and corrections, this additional page seemed to be in circulation for a long time. The service was very slow and not very friendly. Missing ingredients did not leave much room during the selection, which the waiter unfortunately only opened to us when ordering on the grounds: all shops are closed, we could no longer buy. and that on a Saturday around 18h simply not comprehensible. Although we had reserved a table for months before, according to Kellner, we were 13 guests to blame for having the food waited almost 3 hours, as we should have ordered a group dish (i.e. one and the same dish for all). Even the preparation of the appetizer (2x garlic bread, see picture) required Calypso 2h this time use was not looked at to the garlic bread in all love. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
If you could forgive 0, I would. The fish cards are slanted, corrected with ballpoint pen, the paper as from the waste paper. We should have been skeptical. Reserved for 2 months, and said that there is no Gyros anymore...IN A GREECE RESTAURANT. Okay, I guess there was a lot going on before. And then still wait 2.5 hours for dinner, although with us only about 20 guests were there. It's a hammer. Remember it is Saturday night 18:00, it is Christmas market in Aachen, there were only 2 tables occupied (with us 3 , all other restaurants were simply full here almost all tables were free. One more reason to be sceptical. As compensation there were appetizer plates with shrimps. They were all right and tasty, but we didn't order. But it was so much that we had no appetite and hunger for the actual meal, but had meant by the theme. After 2.5 hours(!!! then the main food: After we also found a long, stray, plastic-like “something” in the food, the waiter started a discussion on “...but the rest they can still eat!” ...Sorry, this is no gastronomy and belongs closed!!!
Overall, the Calypso does not make a convincing impression. It is positive that we were served quickly, but it was probably because no one in the restaurant was here (Wednesday evening 7 p.m.). My friend and I both had the Angus Rumpsteak, her with the Monschauer Senfsoße, me with mushrooms and onions. Unfortunately, the waiter does not ask how fried the meat should be. For me it was fortunately right (medium rare) and also tasted. For my friend, who would rather have guessed it a little better, it was too crude. We both didn't like the ambience. What was also annoying was that one felt observed by the staff. A attentive waiter is beautiful, but feeling observed is more negative. In summary, I cannot recommend the Calypso.
Can only join my predecessor. You're really being observed. The whole ambience is not right there. Food is overpriced for my taste with very economical portions. Bottle of water for 6,20€ is not without. Toilet unfortunately resembles a station toilet. Finally, one can say again about an experience richer.
The ambience is a matter of taste. Operation gamz OK. The food was terrible: the rice was bad and the souflaki tasted like fish.
