Was BizzyLizzy at Oak Reed a mag?
We enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. While the evening can add up once you factor in wine and drinks (which is common at any venue), we don’t dine out often, so when we do, we aim to make it a special experience and truly savor it. The food was outstanding, and I really appreciate the cozy interior design. I highly recommend this place! View all feedback.
What Elizabeth L dislikes about Oak Reed:
Isabella and Laura,
I must start by saying that the food was excellent. However, I was quite disturbed to find that someone from your staff altered the menu that I had agreed to. Even though we were in Middletown, they did an excellent job of creating an open space cozy and quiet ambience. We were a party of 12 but it was private and the waitress was friendly, will definitely recommend to go back and especially for dinner.
First time there with my girlfriends for a special Birthday dinner. Sat night reservations at 7 and the place was busy, but not noisy. Seated right away, our server Erica was warm and engaging, a delight. Rustic homemade bread promptly served with a side of spiced olive oil dip. Amazing flavors and huge portions. Great quality food at a tremendous value! Perfect date night spot!
Lord have mercy on my soul! This place is IT! Why? Chef Joe is a master. Service by Erica is sensational. This was our first time of many to come. The Salmon Rilletes was delicious. The Fried Korean Broccoli was light and spicy. The Duck Leg Confit was as good as any we’ve had in France. And the Fries (Frites) are thrice cooked. Best fries this side of the French border. Don’t miss this place. It’s worth a drive if you’re not nearby.
