I have driven by this resteraunt for years and finally went there for dinner tonight. I can tell you 5 stars is just not enough I'd give it 10 easily if I could. What a hidden gem everything from the ambiance when you walk in the greeting and the service my waitresses name was Tammy and then the food all outstanding!!!!!!! I highly recommend and I will be back very soon..... View all feedback.
What Vee R doesn't like about Lo Porto:
Respectfully, the food here was terrible. We were here on Valentine's Day and had Reservations for 8 pm. We got bad seating but they generally have an honor system for seating. If you are a generational patron, you get better seats. We got them by the stairs. The food was bad because it was old and poorly made. They made a pasta but it tasted like they used grocery store sauce which is fine but the obvious Ragu TM no... View all feedback.
We always loved LoPortos. Went this evening and thought we'd try the hot antipasto even though it was very pricey $35). We were shocked when it arrived. It was something you would order at a bar. It was covered with fried frozen calamari rings. Very little seafood. Nothing fresh and they had the nerve to charge $7 for marinara to go with it. The cocktail sauce would have been free. We will never return.
My family brought me there for my 70th Bday…Absolutely delicious…perfect Calamari a huge portion, excellent Antipasto large enough for 4 or more, authentic red sauce Italian meals…server was busy but very attentive…Loved it..Thanks!
Amazing food, served piping hot. Chicken Champagne was thin sliced and dressed in a beautiful creme sauce. Sea food fra diavlo was equally delicious with so much sea food we took half home. They had a limited menu for new year's and the prices varied from the regular menu. I think our waiter was John and he was busy taking good care of the dinner rush.
I've been going here since I was little like 7 or so. I love this place it feels like family and in a way I grew up with everyone there There food is amazing and the ppl are so sweet and inviting. Greatest place to eat in Troy hands down.
