Delancy's - a Forest

Instant ‘mashed’ potatoes and cold cornbread muffin. My wife enjoyed her salmon cakes and my vegetable plate was meh. I realize many restaurants are turning temps down on their warmers/heat lamps but don’t sacrifice safety. it’s brutal after the scamdemic and we’ll give them another try.

It's a bit of a unique stop with a minimalist feel. Food is usually good and filling. Rotating specials adds variety, but the dishes are simple and always good. Great desserts and friendly staff. I am a regular.

The food is literally always a hit. I typically get the salmon patties, broccoli casserole, fried squash or green tomatoes, but everything is good. The girls that work up front could be a little friendlier but they're nice enough. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for some southern cooking. They season their food ?

I recently planned and organized a large (150 people) fundraising banquet for a ministry at my church in Gibsonville and we used Delancey's as our caterer. They were AMAZING. From start to finish, it was a pleasure to work with Brandy to plan a wonderful experience. We had herb baked chicken, roast beef and a vegetarian lasagna, and I must say, there were few leftovers when we finished. Guests enjoyed the meal and we had a lot of comments about this. Delancey's sent more than enough food, both entrees and sides, as well as drinks. The food arrived on time, hot, and stayed hot during the serving. I highly recommend them for catering!
