I finished work early and there was no queue, so I finally got to eat there for the first time! I think the price is reasonable for the quality. I tried the sea urchin rice that some reviews said was not good, but I found it to be delicious. The three types of sea urchin each had their own unique flavor, from soft and creamy to sweet and flavorful. I also tried the sashimi, which had a beautiful color and tasted better than the toro I had in Japan. The portions were smaller than expected, but I hope to be more satisfied next time. The small restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with only two people working, so they may not be able to attend to all customers. The owner doesn't smile much, but when I mentioned that my table was cold, he immediately offered to move me to a warmer spot by the bar. Towards the end of the meal, a couple accidentally spilled soy sauce on their clothes and the waitress quickly gave them a stain removal pen and even offered to wash it for them. Overall, I spent about an hour at the restaurant and saw how they paid attention to detail and quality for their customers. It's rare to find such hospitality and quality service in other restaurants.
My boyfriend and I have been going to this Japanese restaurant every month to treat ourselves to a delicious dinner. It has become a favorite spot for me and my friends. If you want authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the only place to go - Fugutatsu! The owners are warm and friendly, and you can feel their love and passion for their business. Starting a business is hard, but keeping it going is even harder. Keep up the good work!
I don't know why a restaurant with such high quality can receive so many negative reviews. Not sure if it's because of enemies or people lining up and causing chaos. Normally, dining out costs around $500 per head, so feeling lucky to get 70% quality is already a blessing. Never expected to pay $600 for two people and get back 120% of quality, I feel very fortunate. The chef and waitresses are very nice. Just a side note, they have a more economical menu for lunch, so if you want quality, go for dinner instead. Good luck!
