あっぷる - 西会津町

During my trip to Niigata, I stopped at this roadside station, a hub for local tourism and a place to take a break. Yoritsuse is a local dialect that means "please come and visit". I stopped by on my way there and on my way back. Since I had missed lunch, I decided to use the restaurant on my way back. I ordered a visually striking tempura bowl with vegetable tempura in the shape of mountains, which looked very voluminous and filled me up. Is this Mt. Bandai? No, Mt. Iide? Either way, it's an impressive altitude! It's the first time I've felt full just from the tempura on a tempura bowl, not the rice. You can't see it well, but there are shrimp tempura buried underneath. It was delicious tempura made with Aizu vegetables. Next time, I want to try the Chinese herb soft serve.

Located at the gateway to the west of Fukushima Prefecture, this restaurant is a clean and spacious facility. It features a wide souvenir corner, as well as a direct sales, dining, information corner, and restrooms. There are plenty of products from Okinawa and Miyako Island. The direct sales corner offers a variety of mushrooms and mountain vegetables, as well as catnip for cats.

On February 13, 2022 (Sunday), there is a dining hall in the main building of the roadside station. There is also a food court in the adjacent building. In the food court, there is a ramen shop, a curry shop (which was closed on this day), and a soba shop lined up. After some deliberation, I ended up having zaru soba and kakiage (thank you for the meal, it was delicious). However, I couldn't help but be curious about the miso ramen... I debated whether to try it, but my stomach was full... (next time I'll try the miso ramen). Also, I bought a chestnut-filled steamed bun at the store, the skin was fluffy and it was quite delicious! I bought it on a whim, so I don't remember where it's from. I think the price was 120 yen? I regret not buying more... I have been to many roadside stations across the country, but this is one that I would like to visit again.

フードコートの「うのすけ」の味噌ラーメンを食べるために寄ったのですが、臨時休業でした。 ざんね～ん。 しかし、米ジローの、旬野菜串カツカレー、醤油ラーメンたれカツ丼セットで機嫌を直しました。

新鮮な野菜やお土産が豊富で沖縄の品も売ってていろいろ見れて良かったです。 お蕎麦やラーメンを食べる所もありお蕎麦がかなりの人気だそうです。とても美味しいと言ってました。次に行ったときは食べたいです。 沖縄の首里城再建の為に沖縄の品を買ってきました。また行きます。
