Initially, I thought it would have a soy sauce-based strong flavor because it was a clam rice bowl, but when I opened the lid, I found that it was a delicious clam-flavored broth. It's easy to forget that you're in Kyoto, but it has a distinctive Kyoto flavor. It came out piping hot with plenty of broth, and as soon as I lifted the lid, the wonderful aroma of clams filled the air! The bowl may look small, but it turned out to be quite substantial. It warmed me up on a chilly day with a strong wind from Amanohashidate.
