The chicken salt ramen at Umashi Kirenkawa Onsen town is always crowded, so I tried it here. The noodles are medium-thick and straight. Despite being called "chicken salt ramen", I didn't really taste the chicken flavor. However, the soup is refreshing yet flavorful. On top are roughly chopped raw onions. I enjoyed a weekend limited tonkotsu ramen with a seasoned egg topping. It was a delicious bowl with a tonkotsu flavor that was unexpected for a roadside station food court.
This restaurant helps to relax the tiredness of driving with foot baths. You can also buy food and souvenirs, with the most popular being a shop that sells large, plump taiyaki. It's definitely worth buying once.
