The staff were very attentive and even prepared separate dishes for us without us even asking. This thoughtful gesture made the experience even better. The chicken and burdock soba had a generous amount of burdock, and the beef bowl was quite filling. The wasabi served on the side was also delicious. I appreciated the fact that they served small soba noodles instead of miso soup. Both dishes were delicious and reasonably priced at 800 yen for the soba and 1300 yen for the beef bowl. They also accept cashless payments. Although I was tempted by the seasonal asparagus soba, I decided to save that for another visit. The parking situation was a bit confusing with four spots available, so it might be a good idea to inquire with the restaurant before parking in front. Overall, I was grateful for finally finding an open restaurant and enjoyed a satisfying meal at "Kashiwa."

I had the pork bowl (with a side of small soba). The pork bowl had a rich sweet and savory flavor similar to Tokachi pork bowl. The grilling was perfect, tender and nicely cooked. I also like the crispy texture on the surface like pork skin! The aroma of the sauce or the ground black pepper adds a flavorful touch to the dish. With three slices of pork, it feels a bit heavy, but satisfying. The portion is not large, so younger people may enjoy the three slices more. The small soba was also tasty! I will come back to try the soba next time.

It came with mountain wasabi, which added some variety to the taste. It also came with a mini soba bowl, making it a good deal. Although it may be a bit pricey for a lunch option, I am satisfied with the quality.
