This restaurant offers carefully selected Japanese sake and authentic soba from Shinshu. You can enjoy drinking alcohol from the morning when the store opens. Although it looks like a standing soba restaurant, there are two 4-person table seats and a 6-person counter seat where you can sit and eat. They offer a variety of sake, surprisingly also beer, shochu, lemon sour, and highball, making it a place where you can enjoy drinking as well. For sake lovers, you will definitely be impressed when you see the menu and refrigerator!
I thought I was coming to a standing soba shop for lunch, but was mildly shocked when I saw the sake menu at the entrance. Among popular rare sakes like Juyondai, Echigo no Imo, Hitori Musume, Hanayo Yoku, Eikaijin, Nabeshima, and others, that day they also had Rokurin, Otaru. It would be more accurate to describe this place as a standing soba shop & sake bar. It could also be considered as a sake bar open from 9 am. I was at work so I just had soba and tempura and left, but ideally I would like to enjoy sake and side dishes. I will definitely come back again.
I thought it was just a soba restaurant near the station, but they also have a great selection of izakaya-style dishes like at a Japanese sake bar. They have a lineup of unique Japanese sakes at affordable prices! Of course, you have to have soba as the finishing touch. Just be aware that there are no restrooms here, so you'll have to borrow the station's restroom (they will let you through the gate easily). Women should be cautious.
