It seems to be a long-established diner in Otsuchi, as the sign says it was founded in 1969. Inside the kitchen, two elderly gentlemen cook efficiently and call out "Number whatever" about 10 minutes after ordering. The system involves paying at the time of order, receiving a number tag, waiting at the table, and picking up the food when your number is called. When you're finished eating, you return the tray in a self-service style. I tried the recommended Katsudon and the most popular Kono-san Ramen, and while the ramen was just okay, the Katsudon was delicious with a thick, runny egg. The chashu in the ramen was big and thick, which made it satisfying. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the mood for Katsudon again!笑

I always make sure to order the ramen and half curry when I come here. The chefs in the kitchen are also very friendly and kind.
