When I visited the restaurant, Uno was bustling with tourists from the Setouchi Art Festival. Despite its unassuming appearance, the ramen served here was carefully crafted. Uno was once a town of shipyard workers, where quantity and price took priority over quality. However, it seems that it has now transformed into a tourist town with high-quality dining options.
The food here is delicious, with a nice balance between light and rich flavors. The chicken karaage is also very tasty. The owner speaks English fluently, so even foreign tourists can feel comfortable dining here.
There are two types of ramen, one with a light and clear soup with chicken and seafood, and the other with a rich pork bone soup and thin noodles. Personally, I preferred the chicken and seafood soup with thin noodles. Although it's not available, the thin noodles were delicious.
