Měi Huǎng Qiǎ レストハウス

The restaurant was newly renovated on April 21, 2022, completely changing its previous image. The exterior and second floor remain the same, but the first floor now features a trendy space. The souvenir corner offers outdoor spices, dressings, and camp-friendly items like mess tin rice. The famous bamboo grass soft serve has been replaced with bamboo grass ice cream sold at the ice cream shop. They also sell mountain pass sweet potatoes at the ice cream shop.

I visited this restaurant in May 2022 and was impressed by the atmosphere that seamlessly blends into the magnificent scenery. The interior of the building is still new and very clean, creating a stylish atmosphere. I hope that those who do not appreciate this atmosphere do not gather here. I tried the ramen and found it to be quite delicious. They also have commemorative tickets available.

This is a roadside station with a 360-degree panoramic view, including Lake Kushiro. It is probably the best view you can find from a roadside station in Japan! The sense of openness is so great that you will want to take an aerial drone shot. There is also a souvenir corner available.

2022/02/02 景色がとっても綺麗な道の駅。 美幌峠にて景色を楽しんだあと御手洗を借りにこちらの中へ伺いました。 時間帯的にレストランはやっていなかったですが食券タイプのレストランやお土産屋さんがありましたよ あげいもの美味しい匂いが充満していました…笑

美幌峠の最上部にある。駐車場は場所柄、広大というほどではないが、満車ということはなかった。以前は美幌の町の弁当などを提供していたが、大きくリニューアルして、洒落た感じになっている。 一階はレストランや土産物を扱っている。土産物は道内のものを中心に扱っているが、道外以　のものも多い。北見や美幌のものなども扱っている。またテイクアウトのショップもある 2階は展望スペースや資料の展示スペースになっており、wi-fiも使える。簡単な机もある。また2階から美幌峠の展望台への出口もある。 全般的に人で賑わう時間帯は多い。
